In today’s world, where the economy is changing how companies are creating value and competing, industry leaders have predicted that using artificial intelligence (AI) at a larger scale will take the global economy to another level.
How AI is changing the way companies work, believes that who does this work will also change. And soon, these organizations will begin to replace the human workforce with heavy machines.
This is happening: machines are replacing humans. In manufacturing, recruitment, service delivery, healthcare, and financial industries, human workers are forced to work at lower-paid jobs or become jobless.
It has been predicted that by 2040 the term workforce will be unrecognizable.
Are humans and machines in competition with each other?
With this regard, if we check the history since the Industrial Revolution many organizations are opting for machines over labor. The repetitive physical tasks like textile production, machines can easily do. Even machines have evolved that much so they can do even more complex tasks. For instance, understanding verbal tasks, recognizing the voice, solving complex equations, and so on.
Therefore, machines are considered the best replacement for human intelligence with strength. In today’s industry era, AI technologies are superior to humans. It indicates that humans have to outsource intelligence from machines in the future. It means there will be no work that can’t be automated, which means no job is safe from being offloaded to machines.
So, whether human and AI technology are in competition with each other in the workplace- assuming that AI and humans have the same abilities- but they don’t.
On the one hand, where AI technology is more accurate, fast, and consistent on the other hand they are not emotional, sensitive, and intuitive. And, these abilities humans have which possess and which make us capable.
Machine Technology Vs Human Intelligence
In today’s world of technology, computers are smart machines as they can learn tasks and make decisions based on the instructions provided to them. But if we analyze this intelligence is different from what humans have.
Therefore simply, AI is a computer acting and deciding in ways that seem intelligent. As per Alan Turing’s philosophy, AI can imitate human intelligence of feeling, speaking, acting, and deciding. This type of AI intelligence can be implemented in the organization at a small level. As at imitating tasks and the same patterns that can easily accomplish the task without putting too much effort. In comparison to humans, AI techniques never get physically tired and as long they can fetch data, they will keep going.
So, it is simple that AI techniques can be implemented at work in small and lower-level tasks that can be done under human supervision. However, human abilities are more expensive. But in comparison to AI technologies, humans can imagine, create, feel, judge the situation, and even change them when needed. This allows human intelligence to be implemented for short-term to long-term concerns. These abilities are limited to humans and don’t need data to analyze, unlike artificial intelligence.
Therefore artificial intelligence (AI) is different from human intelligence which we also call authentic intelligence. This type of intelligence is required in an open environment management system.
Although both types of intelligence- Artificial and authentic intelligence- seem different they complement each other. For, organizations both types of intelligence offer a range of specific talents.
In conclusion
Will AI replace human intelligence? Certainly not. Bot both human and AI have different abilities in the organization and industries. The main question is how human intelligence and artificial intelligence can have better results.
